The beautiful former Alabama Theater (2922 S. Shepherd Drive) now a bookstore close to where I live. An even better balcony view looking over the whole first floor of the store.

And is generally considered endangered architecture.

What a great place for wasting time. Bookstar and Bookstops used to find old theaters and turn them into bookstores; I wonder if this was one of them. I worked at the only Bookstar in Atlanta, but it was in a strip mall.

Amber, Beth – As far as Google can tell me there is no Bookstar in Atlanta. There do seem to be others still open around the country.Shelby – Thanks. I’m hoping to go to the store and do a longer shoot there. The place has so many areas worth photographing.
